How To Get a Healthy Weight And Reduce Stomach Fat |
| Being a healthy weight is essential if you want to be fit and have a long healthy life. Being overweight has many health problems associated with it such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, risk of stroke and heart disease. Losing weight will improve your levels of energy and fitness as well as giving confidence a boost. Unfortunately it is not possible to reduce fat from just one area of the body-unless you go for surgery such as liposuction which is not an option for most people and not something I would recommend unless the circumstances were very extreme. To reduce stomach fat you have to reduce the overall level of fat in the body. It may sound old fashioned to say this but the best way of doing this is through a healthy diet and regular exercise. There is no need to use expensive diet pills and powders to start losing weight simply eating healthily and doing some exercise will go a long way to reducing stomach fat. The best diet to follow is one that promotes healthy eating of a wide range of foods and having a balanced diet and not restricting any one type of food group too much. Cutting back on unnecessary calories is a good idea as well. Simply reducing the amount of fizzy drinks and alcohol that we consume can help to save hundreds of calories each day as can replacing unhealthy snacks with fruit. |
Many people think that the way to a flat stomach and to reduce stomach fat is to do thousands of sit-ups and stomach crunches for hours on end. This isn’t the case and if you are overweight doing these exercises will only tone up the muscles underneath the fat. To reduce stomach fat a mixture of cardio-vascular and resistance training is necessary.
